Lulu is Getting a New Look!

Lulu is getting a new look! As we continue to grow the Lulu platform and update our core product experiences, we want our brand to accurately reflect what we believe in and the direction we’re heading.

Today, we’re taking a bold step forward introducing a new logo and identity system for Lulu.

After careful consideration, we created a new logo that represents our commitment to printed books, but with a more modern look that captures the company’s love of technology.

This new branding is only the beginning and you can expect some exciting new updates to the Lulu platform over the next 6-12 months!

In the coming weeks, we will be updating all of our social channels, blogs, sites, etc… with the new logo. We realize that changing a logo is a process that can involve many steps and take some time, so we appreciate your patience as we finalize it gradually.

Thanks to all of our employees and customers for inspiring our new look!

  1. Will any books we finalize before the new logo is online be updated automatically with the new logo in future printings?
And what does this new logo look like? A more professional looking logo with more professional gravitas is long overdue!

    1. Hi Stuart,
If you mean the logo that can be added to the spine, that likely won’t change immediately. We’ll be rolling out these changes over the following weeks/months, and updates to the actual book wizard may take some time.
As for the new logo, you can find it at the top of this blog post!

  3. These changes look wonderful. They reflect an awful lot of work and expertise. Thanks. I’ve been with you since 2002, look forward to your changes.

  4. 10 years ago I asked if you had eco-friendly options (FSC or post-consumer recycled paper, vegetable-based inks). The answer was NO. With 16 years on the market is LuLu finally offering eco-friendly products ?

    1. Hi Mother Earth,
As a certified B Corp, we hold our printers to the highest standards of environmental standards within the book printing requirements.

  5. As a publllisher, what would the rules be to use the new logo on our website to refer readers to Lulu to place order. For example, we have books on Amazon and can use Amazon graphics for people to order as an Amazon affiliate. However, I have used Lulu abut 15 years and I am not happy with Amazon taking about 85% of my royalties. So, we want to take about 20 years of content and start publishing small books each month exclusively on Lulu and bypass Amazon. Our branding is nearly 100% organic now so we think that in the long run, our distribution will be as successful based on what we are seeing in orders. Any guidance for logo use would be great – understanding copyright issues of course.
