Ready to be motivated?

Inspiring Vanessa

For being 13-years-old, Vanessa is quite the inspiration! She’s a published author with two books, a YouTube personality, and a motivational speaker! Her book, The 5 Secrets To Public Speaking Success, is a guide to help anyone feel more comfortable while speaking in public, on a stage, or even just in a staff meeting. These are real tips from someone who knows what she’s talking about.

Showing how smart she is, Vanessa is also a perfect example of a modern entrepreneur. She knew that being successful means giving people something they need and finding creative ways to monetize that something. Here, Vanessa gives much-needed advice for anyone who speaks in front of a crowd and because it’s a book, she’s got a product to go along with her service! If that doesn’t inspire you to chase your dreams, I don’t know what will.

Marin McCue

Next up, we have Marin, a driven and multi-talented athlete, teacher, and speaker. Her book, Be The Change, is a journey through her own struggles with mental health and directions to help you refocus. It’s all about finding and living the best version of your life. Marin modeled the book after Joseph Campbell’s ‘Hero’s Journey’, a structure we all should be familiar with from those high school English classes.

From there, Marin worked with a graphic designer friend to create a beautiful book. And more than that, the book itself is a product of Marin’s own journey toward a happy and healthy life.

Be The Change – A Story. A Road map. A Movement.

This is my story of struggle and triumph as I faced my toxic relationship with food, religion, death and negative self-talk while working towards my life goal of being an elite athlete. Ultimately, this is the story of how I practiced my way into a new state of being.
Mental Health affects us all. I have learned that when I share from my heart and create a conversation around tools, exercises and how to practice, we all benefit and evolve into the best version of ourselves.
With support and leading by example, I pave the way for you to re-frame your life’s story to become a source of power and growth. We all have a story, and when we retrain our brain to align with our core – rather than who we have been habituated, programmed or traumatized into being – we get to create a unique impact that is your privilege and birth right. Welcome to my Hero’s Journey.

Nan & Molly Dellheim

For our third and fourth Featured Authors, we have a mother-daughter duo who wrote, created, and published a book together. If that right there isn’t motivational enough, Nan and Molly created the How I Look Journal, an interactive wellness journal for girls, middle school teachers, counselors, or parents! This journal is filled with prompts, quotes, and tips to empower girls to build self-esteem, self-love, and manage stress during adolescence.

After years of frustration with existing health and wellness programs for girls, Nan and Molly spent countless hours researching body image programs and created this guided journal. This journal only focuses on appearance but also contains information on growth and development, expressing yourself, and identifying your own values.
